About Workways in Wodonga

Workways. Since 1989 we have grown from a small community-based organisation to a dynamic, not-for-profit, charitable employment and community services organisation. In early 2014 Workways embarked on a growth strategy to increase our geographical coverage. This saw another not-for-profit organisation, EnviTE Inc, based in North Coast NSW, join our group ( www.envite.au ). Workways head office, located in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland, supports our regional offices through which we service rural areas of eastern Victoria, southern, and more recently northern NSW in conjunction with EnviTE.

Workways delivers programs in regional and remote areas offering accessible services to those disadvantaged by their remoteness. Workways delivers programs that assist those most in need within our community. We offer tailored employment assistance to jobseekers, particularly those who have been long term unemployed through the Australian Governments Job Services Australia Program . With the addition of EnviTE we have added specialist contract services providing employment services to job seekers living with a mental health condition under an Australian Government program called Disability Management Services .

Workways also offers Indigenous services programs that assist Indigenous jobseekers obtain employment. EnviTE, along with providing employment services, also brings a strong reputation for providing high quality environmental restoration services since their commencement in 1993. They have recently been awarded contracts under the Australian Government’s Green Army initiative.
